5962-8513102XA General Description
Offering active overvoltage protection and guaranteed rON matching, the HI-546/883 and HI-547/883 analog multiplexers provide a reliable solution for applications with high analog input levels. These multiplexers can withstand input levels that greatly exceed the power supply without causing damage to the device or disrupting the signal path of other channels. The active protection circuitry ensures that signal fidelity is maintained even under fault conditions that would typically destroy other multiplexers. With the ability to handle constant 70VP-P levels with ±15V supplies for analog inputs and sustain continuous faults up to 4V greater than either supply for digital inputs, these multiplexers offer robust protection for the overall system. In the event of a multiplexer supply loss, the signal sources are safeguarded from short circuiting, with each input presenting 1kΩ of resistance. Fabricated using 44V dielectrically isolated CMOS technology, the HI-546/883 and HI-547/883 are well-suited for applications where the analog inputs originate from external equipment or separately powered circuitry. The HI-546/883 is a single 16-channel, while the HI-547/883 is an 8-channel differential multiplexer.
