The 8A34004E-000NBG8, part of Renesas' ClockMatrix Timing Solutions family, is a highly advanced System Synchronizer for IEEE 1588 that offers unparalleled performance and reliability. This device is capable of generating ultra-low jitter precision timing signals based on the IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol (PTP) and Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE), making it an ideal choice for synchronization in IEEE 1588 systems. Whether used as a single source or in a redundant pair configuration, this device provides precise timing and synchronization, thanks to its Digitally Controlled Oscillators (DCOs) that can be controlled by IEEE 1588 clock recovery servo software. Additionally, the device supports physical layer timing with Digital PLLs (DPLLs) and other essential timing blocks, making it suitable for implementing a Synchronous Equipment Timing Source (SETS) for SyncE. Its ability to measure and compensate for clock propagation delays ensures the distribution of accurate time and phase with minimal time error between IEEE 1588 Time Stamp Units (TSUs) in a system.
