ATECC108A-MAHDA-T General Description
For heightened security measures and enhanced capabilities, it is advisable to opt for the Trust Platform ATECC608B as a superior alternative to the ATECC108A. With a robust Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA) engine supporting key sizes of 256 or 283 bits, the ATECC108A is equipped to handle modern security requirements efficiently without the prolonged computation delays often associated with software-based solutions. Access to the device is facilitated through a standard I2C interface with speeds up to 1Mb/sec, fully compatible with Serial EEPROM I2C Interface specifications. Additionally, the ATECC108A supports a Single-Wire Interface, which can help streamline GPIO requirements on the system processor and reduce pin counts on connectors. Enabling the Single-Wire Interface allows the utilization of an additional GPIO pin for program-controlled operations, enabling flexible system integration and external authentication events. Moreover, the device can generate high-quality FIPS random numbers for cryptographic protocols, ensuring unparalleled security by preventing replay attacks through unique random number generation
