BM1C101F-GE2 General Description

The BM1C101F-GE2 product is a versatile IC that combines the Power Factor Correction (PFC) converter and Quasi-Resonant (QR) controller for efficient operation in electrical outlet products. With a built-in HV starter circuit capable of tolerating 650V and X-Cap discharge function, this IC ensures low power consumption and swift start-up capabilities. The PFC component operates in Boundary Conduction Mode (BCM), minimizing switching loss and noise through zero current detection (ZCD) without the need for auxiliary windings. In terms of the DC/DC converter, the Quasi-Resonant Mode enables soft switching, reducing EMI while offering design flexibility with external components like MOSFETs and current detection resistors. Additionally, the BM1C101F-GE2 features over voltage protection for the PFC output terminal, safeguarding electrolytic capacitors and improving standby power consumption with PFC ON/OFF control. Various protective functions like VCC over voltage protection, external latch protection, and brownout protection further enhance the reliability of this IC
