DS1308U-3+ General Description
The DS1308U-3+ is a versatile serial real-time clock (RTC) that offers low power consumption and a full binary-coded decimal (BCD) clock/calendar with 56 bytes of NV RAM. Its I²C interface allows for easy communication of address and data. This clock/calendar module provides accurate timekeeping including seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information. Plus, it automatically adjusts for the end of the month date, accounting for months with fewer than 31 days and leap years. Users have the option to choose between the 24-hour or 12-hour format, with an AM/PM indicator included. Additionally, the DS1308U-3+ features a built-in power-sense circuit that seamlessly transitions to a backup supply in the event of a power failure, ensuring uninterrupted time and date operations
