DS1340U-18 General Description
Featuring pin compatibility and functional equivalence with the ST M41T00, the DS1340U-18 real-time clock (RTC)/calendar product is a reliable and versatile solution for various applications. With enhanced capabilities such as trickle-charge capability, lower timekeeping voltage, and an oscillator STOP flag, this device offers added convenience and efficiency. Its register map mirrors that of the ST device, with two additional registers for the trickle charger and flag. Providing comprehensive timekeeping functionality, the clock/calendar covers seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information. Furthermore, the built-in power-sense circuit automatically detects power failures and seamlessly switches to the backup supply, ensuring uninterrupted operation. Users can easily program the DS1340U-18 serially through an I²C bidirectional bus, enabling seamless integration and configuration
