The DS17285, DS17485, DS17885, DS17287, DS17487, and DS17887 real-time clocks represent the latest advancements in RTC technology. These devices, serving as successors to the well-known DS12885 and DS12887, provide a wide range of features and functionalities. The DS17x85 series, for example, offers a real-time clock/calendar, time-of-day alarm, multiple interrupts, programmable square wave, and battery-backed NV SRAM. Additionally, the DS17x85 includes enhanced capabilities such as a silicon serial number and power-on/off control circuitry. On the other hand, the DS17x87 series integrates a quartz crystal and lithium energy source, ensuring reliable performance in a convenient 24-pin encapsulated DIP package
