DS4520E+ General Description
The DS4520E+ is a versatile 9-bit nonvolatile I/O expander that offers users a digitally programmable alternative to traditional hardware jumpers and mechanical switches. With 64 bytes of nonvolatile memory and an I²C-compatible serial interface, this device provides convenient and reliable control over digital logic nodes. Each I/O pin is independently configurable, and the digital state of each pin can be easily read through the serial interface. Additionally, the outputs are open drain with selectable pullups, and each output has the capability to sink up to 12mA. This makes the DS4520E+ suitable for a wide range of applications, from simple control tasks to more complex digital logic operations. Furthermore, the nonvolatile nature of the device ensures that it powers up in the desired state, allowing for immediate control of digital logic inputs without the need to wait for the host CPU to initiate control
