FL7921RMX General Description
The FL7921R product is an advanced solution that combines a Power Factor Correction (PFC) controller with a Quasi-Resonant PWM controller to deliver a cost-effective and efficient design. Through this integration, the need for external components is minimized, streamlining the overall design process while maximizing performance. The PFC functionality within the FL7921R utilizes a controlled on-time technique to ensure a regulated DC output voltage, as well as to facilitate natural power factor correction. Additionally, an innovative THD optimizer is employed to reduce input current distortion during zero-crossing intervals, thereby enhancing the overall THD performance. One notable feature of the FL7921R is its ability to maintain the PFC function operational, regardless of the PWM stage load condition, ensuring high power factor even at light loads. On the PWM front, the FL7921R offers several functionalities to improve power system performance, including valley detection, green-mode operation, and high/low line over-power compensation. Furthermore, the product is equipped with a comprehensive range of protection functions, such as secondary-side open-loop and over-current protection with auto-recovery, configurable over-temperature protection, and various other safeguards to ensure the device's reliability under diverse circumstances
