HV853MG-G General Description
Designed for optimal EMI performance, the HV853MG-G is a high voltage, low noise EL lamp driver that operates within an input voltage range of 3.2V to 5.0V. This cutting-edge driver is specifically engineered to drive EL lamps of up to 1.5in2, with capacitive values of up to 5.3nF. By converting low voltage DC input to a high voltage AC output across the EL lamp, it delivers a nominal regulated output voltage of ±80V, ensuring effective illumination. The innovative charge pump scheme eliminates the need for external inductors, diodes, and high voltage capacitors commonly used in conventional topologies, simplifying the design and reducing overall system cost. This circuit discharges its energy into the EL lamp through a high voltage H-bridge and conserves power by turning off once the voltage reaches its regulated limit. Additionally, the EL lamp frequency can be easily set by an external resistor REL or by applying an external clock, providing flexibility and adaptability for different application requirements
