ISL32179EIRZ-T General Description
The ISL32179EIRZ-T is a robust and reliable quad transmitter specifically designed for balanced communication using the RS-422 standard. With a wide power range of 3.0V to 5.5V and ±16.5kV IEC61000-4-2 ESD protection, this product is well-suited for industrial and extended industrial temperature ranges from -40°C to +125°C. The driver outputs are tri-statable and incorporate a hot plug feature to ensure proper functionality during power-up and power-down. In addition, the ISL32179EIRZ-T features very low output leakage currents, presenting a low load to the RS-422 bus. Its QFN package offers a 50% smaller footprint compared to the TSSOP, making it an excellent choice for space-constrained applications. The product also includes a logic supply pin (VL) for compatibility with lower supply voltages in mixed voltage systems. With speed select pins for configuring data rates of 460kbps, 10Mbps, or 32Mbps, and individual channel and group enable pins, the ISL32179EIRZ-T provides exceptional flexibility and performance for industrial automation, process control, and other high-reliability applications
