LP2951ACD-3.3R2G General Description
The LP2951ACD-3.3R2G is a micropower low dropout (LDO) linear voltage regulator specifically designed to maintain proper regulation with an extremely low input-to-output voltage differential. With a quiescent bias current of 75 µA and the capability to supply output currents in excess of 100 mA, this device also provides internal current and thermal limiting protection. Its additional features include an Errorbar Output for signaling out-of-regulation conditions or as a microprocessor power-on reset, along with the ability to preset the output voltage to 5.0 V, 3.3 V, or 3.0 V (depending on the version) or program it from 1.25 V to 29 V. The regulator also includes a Shutdown input for turning off or turning on the output. These features make the LP2951ACD-3.3R2G ideal for battery-powered computer, consumer, and industrial equipment, where extending battery life is a priority. The 'A' suffix devices come with an initial output voltage tolerance of +/-0.5%. Available in an eight pin dual-in-line, SO-8, and Micro-8 surface mount packages, this device offers flexibility and reliability for various applications
