The LT1117CM-2.85#PBF stands out as a positive low dropout regulator that excels in delivering up to 800mA of output current. It offers fixed output voltages at 2.85V, 3.3V, and 5V, along with an adjustable version to cater to diverse requirements. Notably, the 2.85V model is specifically optimized for deployment in Active Terminators for the SCSI bus. One of its key strengths lies in the ability of its internal circuitry to operate effectively even with a minimal input to output differential of just 1V. Moreover, the dropout voltage is limited to a maximum of 1.2V at 800mA, with a decrease observed at lower load currents. By incorporating on-chip trimming, the regulator ensures that the reference/output voltage remains finely tuned within ± 1% accuracy, while also trimming the current limit to mitigate stress on both the regulator and the power source during overload conditions
