Featuring a proprietary low-dropout transmitter output stage and a dual charge pump, the MAX3222EWN ensures that you get true RS-232 performance even when operating within a range of 3.0V to 5.5V. With only four small 0.1µF external charge-pump capacitors required, this transceiver simplifies the setup process while delivering reliable results. Depending on your specific needs, you can choose from the MAX3222, MAX3232, MAX3237, or MAX3241 models, all of which guarantee data rates of 120kbps. If high-speed data transfer is crucial for your application, the MAX3237 is the ideal choice, offering data rates of 250kbps in normal mode and an impressive 1Mbps in MegaBaud™ mode
