Maxim’s AutoShutdown feature sets the MAX3221/MAX3223/MAX3243 apart with their remarkable energy efficiency, achieving only 1µA supply current. This revolutionary technology allows the device to enter a low-power state by shutting down its power supply and drivers when no valid signal level is detected on the receiver inputs. Whether it's due to a disconnected RS-232 cable or powered-off peripheral transmitters, the system intelligently conserves energy and seamlessly resumes operation when a valid level is applied to any RS-232 receiver input. This advanced power management feature not only prolongs the device's lifespan but also ensures optimal performance in various practical scenarios
