MAX5922CEUI General Description
The MAX5922CEUI+ is a hot-swap controller IC designed for redundant power systems. It is manufactured by Maxim Integrated and comes in a 28-pin TSSOP package. This device features a 1-4 hot-swap controller with integrated power MOSFET, designed to protect electrical systems from overloading and short circuits during hot insertion or removal of circuit boards. The built-in current-limiting and thermal protection features ensure safe operation under all conditions.The MAX5922CEUI+ supports high-side N-channel FETs and features a programmable current limit, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. It has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, making it suitable for use in industrial and automotive applications.This hot-swap controller also features a programmable fault timer to prevent nuisance tripping during startup, a power-good output to indicate system status, and a thermal warning flag to alert the user of potential overheating issues. The device can be configured using an external resistor for easy customization to specific system requirements.
