MAX5969AETB+ General Description
The MAX5969AETB+ stands out as a crucial component for power-over-Ethernet (PoE) systems, offering a complete interface for powered devices (PDs) to adhere to the IEEE® 802.3af/at standard. These devices supply PDs with essential detection and classification signatures, along with an integrated isolation power switch featuring inrush current control. Notably, during the inrush period, the MAX5969A/MAX5969B restrict the current to less than 180mA before transitioning to a higher limit of 720mA to 880mA once the isolation power MOSFET achieves full enhancement. Their input undervoltage lockout (UVLO) comes with wide hysteresis and a lengthy deglitch time, ensuring smooth power-on/-off transitions and compensating for resistive drop in twisted-pair cable. Additionally, with an impressive input voltage tolerance of up to 100V, the MAX5969A/MAX5969B demonstrate exceptional resilience and reliability in PoE applications
