MAX6954APL General Description
Offering a seamless interface between microprocessors and LED displays, the MAX6954APL is a compact display driver that utilizes a 4-wire serial interface, compatible with both SPI and QSPI. This allows for easy cascading through multiple devices, providing flexibility and efficiency in driving various types of LED displays. The MAX6954APL is capable of driving a mix of 7-segment, 14-segment, and 16-segment LED displays, as well as up to 128 discrete LEDs. It can effectively drive up to 16 digits 7-segment, 8 digits 14-segment, or 8 digits 16-segment displays, all while operating from a supply voltage as low as 2.7V. In addition, the MAX6954APL features five I/O expander (or GPIO) lines, allowing for configuration as a key-switch reader, which can automatically scan and debounce a matrix of up to 32 switches. With its versatile capabilities and compact design, the MAX6954APL is well-suited for various applications requiring efficient LED display driving solutions
