MCP3909T-E/SS General Description
The MCP3909T-E/SS is a highly advanced energy measurement IC that is designed to meet the IEC 62053 international energy metering specification. With its integrated features, this IC provides a reliable and accurate output, including a frequency proportional to the average active power at the inputs. The simultaneous serial SPI interface allows easy access to the ADC channels and multiplier output data, making it a versatile and convenient solution for energy measurement applications. Additionally, the MCP3909 incorporates two 16-bit delta-sigma ADCs with a programmable gain up to 16, providing flexibility and precision in energy measurement. Its high output waveform data rate of up to 14 kHz, along with 16-bit ADC output and 20-bit multiplier output data, ensures efficient and high-resolution performance. Furthermore, the integrated on-chip voltage reference with an ultra-low temperature drift of 15 ppm/°C enhances the reliability and stability of the IC, making it an ideal choice for demanding energy measurement requirements
