With its support for the IEC 62053 international energy metering specification, the MCP3909T-I/SS is a versatile energy measurement IC that delivers accurate and reliable results. The device's output includes a frequency proportional to the average active power and a simultaneous serial SPI interface, allowing for easy access to the ADC channels and multiplier output data. Featuring two 16-bit delta-sigma ADCs with a programmable gain of up to 16, the MCP3909 ensures high precision in energy measurement. Furthermore, the device offers output waveform data at up to 14 kHz with 16-bit ADC output and 20-bit multiplier output data, making it suitable for a wide range of energy measurement applications. Moreover, the integrated on-chip voltage reference with an ultra-low temperature drift of 15 ppm/°C ensures stability and accuracy, even in challenging environmental conditions
