Equipped with 500 mA outputs and integral transient-suppression diodes, the MIC5842 is well-suited for driving lamps, relays, solenoids, and various inductive loads. Its improved speed characteristics allow for high-speed operation, with the ability to exceed 5 MHz with a 5V logic supply and achieve even higher speeds with a 12V supply
