R7F124FMJ3AFB General Description
The RL78/F24 next-generation super low-power automotive microcontrollers are ideal to realize future high reliable smart actuators & sensors, as well as low-end body ECUs. As an innovative prolongation of the known RL78/F1x MCUs, the RL78/F24 can cover prospective market requirements. With its increased CPU performance, high temperature capability and an enhanced peripheral feature set, RL78/F24 are a perfect fit for various applications.
RL78/F2x products are designed according to ISO26262 and providing functional safety support up to ASIL-B. They support up to the EVITA-Light security standard or more. An AES crypto module can handle key lengths of up to 256 bits and supports secure boot and authentication. To further boost the calculation performance for BLDC (FOC) motor control and DC/DC control systems, RL78/F2x is equipped with the unique application accelerator IP, to off-load complex trigonometric & arithmetic processing.
To respond to the new E/E automotive architecture trend, RL78/F24 is equipped with a CAN FD interface. RL78/F2x MCUs are fully hard- & software upwards compatible to RL78/F1x, enabling software reuse.
