SN65C3223EPWR General Description
Flexible power management options are available with the SN65C3223EPWR, allowing for efficient control when the serial port is inactive. The auto-powerdown feature, activated when FORCEON is low and FORCEOFF is high, disables driver outputs if a valid RS-232 signal is not sensed. Alternatively, setting FORCEOFF low and EN high shuts off both drivers and receivers, reducing supply current to 1 mA. Auto-powerdown can be disabled when both FORCEON and FORCEOFF are high, and the INVALID output notifies the user of the presence of a valid RS-232 signal at any receiver input
