SN74AHCT540PWR General Description

SN74AHCT540PWR is a high-performance octal buffer/driver, well-suited for tasks like driving bus lines or buffering memory address registers. Its unique design features inputs and outputs positioned on opposite ends of the package, making it easier to design and lay out printed circuit boards. The 3-state control gate functions as a two-input AND gate with active-low inputs. When either output-enable (OE1 or OE2) input is activated, all corresponding outputs enter a high-impedance state. Additionally, the outputs deliver inverted data when not in the high-impedance state. To guarantee a seamless transition during power up or down, it is advised to connect OE to VCC via a pull-up resistor, the value of which is influenced by the driver's current-sinking capacity
