STEF033APUR General Description
The STEF033APUR is a cutting-edge integrated electronic fuse that is specifically designed to monitor output current and input voltage. This advanced E-fuse is connected in series to the 3.3 V rail, offering exceptional protection for the electronic circuitry by effectively managing overcurrent and overvoltage. Equipped with controlled delay and turn-on time, the STEF033 is capable of limiting the output current to a predefined safe value when an overload condition occurs. In the event of prolonged overload, the device transitions into an open state, disconnecting the load from the power supply. Furthermore, the E-fuse is designed to respond to continuous short-circuit conditions by limiting the output current to a safe value upon re-application of power, followed by transitioning into an open state. Additionally, the device incorporates a voltage clamping circuit that prevents the output voltage from exceeding a fixed threshold when the input voltage exceeds a certain level. Furthermore, the thermal protection circuit ensures the safety of the device and signals any intervention through the Fault pin to the board-monitoring circuits. Unlike traditional mechanical fuses, the E-fuse's performance remains unaffected following short-circuit/thermal protection intervention and can be easily reset using the Enable pin or by re-cycling the supply voltage. The STEF033 also offers an auto-retry version, automatically re-applying power to the load when the die temperature returns to a safe level
