STEF05LJR General Description
The STEF05LJR is a versatile integrated electronic fuse designed to protect electronic circuitry from overcurrent and overvoltage. It features controlled delay and turn-on time, ensuring that it responds effectively to overload conditions. In the event of an overload, the device limits the output current to a predefined safe value and eventually disconnects the load from the power supply if the anomaly persists. Additionally, it is equipped with a voltage clamping circuit to prevent the output voltage from exceeding a fixed threshold in case of input voltage fluctuations. The eFuse also includes a thermal protection circuit, which signals any intervention to the board-monitoring circuits through a fault pin. Unlike traditional mechanical fuses, the STEF05L does not degrade in performance after a short-circuit or thermal protection event and can be easily reset by recycling the supply voltage or using the enable pin. Furthermore, the autoretry version of the product automatically attempts to re-apply power to the load when the die temperature returns to a safe value, making it a reliable and convenient solution for circuit protection
