SY89873LMG-TR General Description

The SY89873LMG-TR is a precision LVDS output clock divider that offers low-skew and low-jitter performance. It is designed to accept high-speed differential clock inputs, including CML, LVPECL, HSTL, or LVDS, and divide down the frequency using a programmable divider ratio. This creates a frequency-locked, lower speed version of the input clock. With two output banks, the SY89873LMG-TR provides flexibility in creating divided output banks with matched propagation delay. Available divider ratios include 2, 4, 8, and 16, providing a wide range of auxiliary clock components in a typical 622MHz clock system. The differential input buffer features a unique internal termination design with access to the termination network through a VT pin, making it easy to interface with AC- or DC-coupled differential logic standards. The device also includes a VREF-AC reference for AC-coupled applications. The /RESET input allows for asynchronous resetting of the divider outputs (Bank B), and the pass-through function (Bank A) synchronously enables or disables the outputs on the next falling edge of the input clock.
