TMS320DM6446AZWT, also known as DM6446, incorporates TI's DaVinci™ technology to address the processing requirements of networked media encode and decode applications in modern embedded devices. The dual-core architecture of the DM6446 combines a TMS320C64x+™ DSP core and an ARM926EJ-S core, offering the advantages of both DSP and Reduced Instruction Set Computer (RISC) technologies. With a performance of up to 6480 million instructions per second (MIPS) at a clock rate of 810 MHz, the C64x+ core is well-equipped to handle high-performance DSP programming challenges, especially in digital media applications. The device features a comprehensive set of peripherals, including video ports, Ethernet MAC, UARTs, PWM peripherals, and more, facilitating external device control and communication. Furthermore, the DM6446 includes a Video Processing Subsystem (VPSS) with configurable video/imaging peripherals and a Video/Imaging Co-processor (VICP) to offload video and imaging processing tasks from the DSP core. Development tools for both the ARM and DSP are available to streamline programming and debugging processes
