ULN2803ADW General Description
The ULN2803ADW is a high-voltage, high-current Darlington transistor array. It consists of eight NPN Darlington pairs with common emitters. Each pair can handle a maximum load voltage of 50 volts and current up to 500 mA. The ULN2803ADW is designed for use in applications that require driving high-current loads such as relays, solenoids, and stepper motors.The ULN2803ADW features built-in diodes for protection against back EMF, making it suitable for inductive loads. It also has a common cathode clamp diode for each Darlington pair to protect the transistors from voltage spikes. The device can be easily interfaced with logic-level signals from microcontrollers, PLCs, or other digital circuits.The ULN2803ADW is packaged in a 18-pin DIP (Dual Inline Package) format, making it easy to integrate into existing circuit designs. It operates over a wide temperature range of -20°C to 105°C, making it suitable for a variety of industrial and automotive applications.
