The USB5807CT/KD also features advanced SmartHub technology, allowing downstream devices to take control of the host system and swap roles to become the host port. This role-changing capability, known as FlexConnect, can be initiated through hardware or software commands, providing flexibility and convenience for users. Additionally, the hub supports PortSplitting, which enables embedded applications to use only the necessary interface for internal, non-removable USB connections, expanding its functionality beyond the standard seven ports
