MC100EP116FAG General Description
The MC10EP116/100EP116 is a high-performance 6-bit differential line receiver designed for applications requiring very high speed oscillators. With a 3.0GHz bandwidth and two stages of internal gain, this device is an excellent choice for high bandwidth amplifier applications. The presence of the VBB pin, which provides an internally generated voltage supply, sets this device apart from others in the series. When used for single-ended input conditions, the unused differential input is connected to VBB as a switching reference voltage, and VBB can also rebias AC coupled inputs. It is important to decouple VBB and VCC via a 0.01uF capacitor and limit current sourcing or sinking to 0.5 mA when in use. If VBB is not used, it should be left open to ensure proper device operation. Additionally, the differential inputs feature internal clamp structures to prevent the Q output of a gate in an open input condition from affecting the rest of the device. The 100 Series also offers temperature compensation for improved performance across varying operating conditions
