MCP9804T-E/MC General Description
The MCP9804T-E/MC boasts high-performance temperature sensing capabilities, accurately converting temperatures within the range of -40°C to +125°C into digital values with a maximum precision of ±1°C. Its user-programmable registers offer customization options for temperature sensing applications, allowing users to configure settings such as Shutdown or low-power modes, as well as define temperature Event and Critical output boundaries. In case of temperature fluctuations beyond specified limits, the MCP9804 triggers an Event signal, which can be set as an active-low or active-high comparator output for thermostat operation, or as a temperature event interrupt output for microprocessor-driven systems. Additionally, the event output can be designated as a Critical temperature output for advanced monitoring capabilities. Equipped with an industry standard 2-wire, SMBus, and Standard I²C™Compatible interface, the MCP9804 supports up to eight sensors on a single serial bus, making it an ideal choice for complex multi-zone temperature-monitoring applications
